Ordering container volumes

To work out the physical volume of stock you are ordering and compare that against a container volume please:

1. Add the product dimensions to the sku analysis page

2. If you order in a master carton or case pack we recommend you add this carton/pack as a bill of material item in your system or in StockTrim, and then set up the bom so that the carton will be made up of the number of units of stock.  Add the carton dimensions to this sku

3. You can then order the carton sku through our PO module, and it will calculate the volume of the cartons ordered.

4. Click the edit button on the PO to see the tracking fields

5. Add your specified container volume e.g. 63-65m3 for a 40ft.

6. The tracking value will go black if the ordered volume is less than the container volume, or red if the ordered volume is more than container volume.

7. The system will display underneath the tracking fields how many containers are required as a result of the total volume.

8. You can then edit the po as required to add or remove items or change quanities ordered if you wish.
